Swimming Pool Revamped for 2010 Season
Reconstruction of the Lemoyne Community Swimming Pool is completed! The project started after the pool closed for the 2009 season and it was completed in time for the beginning of the 2010 swim season. The new pool features a "zero entry" area, where you can walk on a ramped surface down into the pool. It also has two slides, several water features, a "tot area" and lap swimming area. The pool is handicapped accessible allowing attendees to be able to access and exit the water from wheelchairs.
The new pool is a big success and a record number of patrons enjoyed the facility in 2010. Hope you will consider joining the fun in 2011. Call the Borough Office at 717-737-6843 for information about having your birthday party or other special event at the pool!

About Lemoyne Parks and Recreation
Lemoyne is home to five parks; Flynn, Maple, Memorial, Negley and Schell.
Located on Indiana Avenue, Negley Park offers a stunning view of the Harrisburg skyline. This vantage point is a favorite of tourists and photographers and is often featured on television newscasts and publications. In addition to the spectacular view, the park has pavilions, a basketball court and tennis courts.
Memorial Park, accessed by both Herman and Hummel Avenues, is home to the Lemoyne Swimming Pool and the annual Hometown Day. Flynn, Maple and Schell are our neighborhood parks. Flynn is located on the corner of Ohio and 9th Street. Maple is located on the 400 block of Maple Street and Schell Park is located on Sycamore Street.
Lemoyne also has two conservation areas; Frazer, which is located on the 400 block of Washington Terrace and Woodside, which is located on the 100 block of North 5th Street.
All parks are open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Friendly, leashed dogs are permitted in designated areas of the walking paths in both Negley and Memorial Parks.
Lemoyne operates a swimming pool in Memorial Park. Plans are underway for a major renovation of this community gem. Family, corporate and individual pool memberships are available for residents and family and individual pool memberships are also available to those in surrounding municipalities. Negley tennis court keys can be purchased annually by residents for a nominal fee. Pavilions are also available for rent for private parties.
